Reasons why Depok City Government Pagari Cisalak Market

Kolom Media. Head of Depok City Trade and Industry Office (Disdagin) Kania Parwati answered the people's protest around the Cisalak market which objected to the fencing in the market.

According to Kania, the fencing was aimed at protecting government assets and securing the assets of traders who sell in the market.

"Yes, because open conditions will make it difficult to carry out surveillance and security, it must be closed," Kania said when contacted on Saturday (12/15/2018).

Kania admitted if his party began to hold the Cisalak Market fence, which was then protested by residents on Thursday (12/13/2018).

Kania said, the Cisalak Market fencing will be carried out in stages. The initial stage of the Cisalak Market fencing will be completed by the end of December this year.

The initial stage of fencing will first start from Jalan Haji Ohan to Jalan Gadog in Cisalak Pasar Village, Cimanggis District.

When fencing was carried out, the Depok City Government continued to provide access in the form of roads for residents living behind the Cisalak Market. "To keep it easy to carry out activities," Kania said.

According to him, this fencing is not only done in Cisalak Market, but in all markets managed by Depok City Government. For example, in Pasar Agung and Sukatani Market in the future there will also be fencing.

Citizens protest

Previously, the Head of the Indonesian Ombudsman, Greater Jakarta Representative Teguh P Nugroho said that his party had directly checked the fencing of the entrance of the Cisalak Market by the Depok City Government, which residents protested on Thursday (12/13/2018).

It also visited the location and mapped the ownership assets of Depok City Government and residents' land.

At present, his party is conducting factual verification regarding the alleged administration of fencing in the Cisalak Market area.

"We are currently carrying out proof of checking on the ground and verifying the documents of both parties, from residents 'house certificates, residents' houses of building permits, proof of licensing and other evidences. We are waiting for the results next week," Teguh said.
