Persija Convoys, Anies Urge Residents to Stay Away From Points That Will Become Convoy Routes

Fokus Pos. Persija Jakarta along with its supporters will hold a convoy celebrating the 1st League title on Saturday (12/15). DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan appealed to the citizens of the capital to avoid roads or locations that would be affected by the celebration of the Persija victory.

Roads that are expected to be affected include Jalan Sudirman, Jalan MH Thamrin, and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan.

"So those who want to do activities outside of carnival activities should avoid the route," Anies said at City Hall on Friday (12/14).

The Persija convoy starts at 09.00 WIB. Secretary of Persija Darwis Satmoko explained that the parade route for the Kemayoran Tigers was determined after a meeting with the Transportation Agency (Dinas Perhubungan). The route starts from the GBK Archery Statue, Jalan Asia Afrika and ends at City Hall.

"The starting point of the march from the archery statue on Jalan Asia Afrika, then turn left to the one-way FX door, then go to Jalan Sudirman," said Dervish.

The celebration center will be held at City Hall. There, the DKI Provincial Government prepares a stage in front of the City Hall pavilion. Then there is the big screen to accommodate people who can't watch the celebration of victory at close range.

In addition, musical activities will also be prepared for entertainment for the community.

Anies conveyed that the celebration of the success of Persija to win the League 1 will be held like a people's party.

The DKI Provincial Government has also coordinated with Persija management and the Metro Jaya Regional Police regarding the celebration of the victory.

The police themselves have prepared the transfer of traffic during the convoy event. The diversion was carried out at points passed by Persija convoys such as the Gelora Bung Karno, MH Thamrin, and the area around City Hall. The convoy is scheduled to end at 12.00 WIB.
